Few Huntington Home Sales Disclose Price as July Deed Filings Mix Sales, Liens
Ten property-related documents were recorded in Huntington between July 3 and Aug. 1, but only two disclosed a sale price: $50,000 for 25 Basket St. and $14,192 for 39 Harlow Clark Rd., for a median of $32,096. Four of the 10 filings were not sales -- two estate-tax lien releases tied to Bernard P. Gawle and two homestead declarations -- leaving six actual property transfers, two of which involved a bank or mortgage-servicing entity. With price data disclosed on only two of 10 transactions, the period's overall market tone cannot be reliably characterized from this dataset alone.
